Dr. Michael Wells grew up in central Illinois. He graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. He owned a practice in suburban Chicago area for 20 years. Dr. Wells moved to Aiken, SC 2002, to slow down life and get away from snow. Dr. Wells and his wife Lisa Levy DVM lives on a 20 acre mini-farm with a collection of dogs, cats, horses, and a goat.
Dr. Wells has worked at NAAH part time since 2002. He has one son Michael (Kim) and one granddaughter MacKenna, who lives in suburban Chicago. When not working he enjoys golf, horseback riding and playing pickle ball.
